Vacation Coverage
Providing constant care for your elderly family member 24 hours a day, 7 days a week can be tough. It's rewarding, but it is also a lot of work. And we understand that you need a break every now and then. But you can't just leave your parent with a stranger. You need to feel good about the people you are entrusting them to. That's where Aegis comes in.
Vacation stays can range from a number of days to a few weeks. This allows you to take a short break, a long vacation or a business trip. This care lets you take time away to take care of your own needs, which helps you avoid burnout, stress and fatigue. And who knows? Your mom or dad might just need some time away from you to recharge and spend time with peers.
Hospital Discharge
These short stays are an excellent option for seniors who may have recently been discharged from the hospital and need extra assistance following their stay. Our highly-trained and compassionate staff are dedicated to your health and well-being and work with your physician daily to follow up on hospital care. Being part of our community is a wonderful way to transition from the hospital to your own home.
Trial Stay
You can also use a short term stay as a test drive. Many of our residents originally tried Aegis by staying as a short term guest. You'll meet our staff and other residents, experience our activities and taste our chef's creations. You might just decide that your new friends and comfortable apartment feel like home.
Companion Living Program
The Aegis Companion-Living Program is a leading edge program that is specialized in proper roommate-pairing in combination with therapeutic activities. Historically roommate-pairing was matching residents by their gender alone, without considering other variables. Day Stay Program
The Aegis Living Day Stay Program understands there's nothing more important than the health and well being of your family member. That's why our Day Stay program focuses so much on socialization. Study after study indicates that continued peer interaction not only brightens the spirit, but it provides serious health benefits as well. We provide a wide variety of cultural and recreational outings along with engaging and interesting community programs so our residents and guests can enjoy the best possible quality of life - which includes making new friends.
